Street collections are an effective way to raise money and awareness.
They work best if you can gather together a group of friends to help, particularly if you are covering a large area.
You must always get the permission of your local council first; if you don‘t get permission, your collection will be illegal.
Please bear in mind that you should make your application to collect well in advance of your proposed collection date - some councils are currently asking for applications to be made a year in advance.
If you aren‘t able to do a street collection, maybe you could collect outside your local supermarket (again, you‘ll need to seek their permission).
Alternatively, you could place a collection box at your local veterinary practice, pet shop, cinema, theatre or leisure club.
If you would like one of our collection boxes, please email fundraising@wspa.org.uk or call 0800 316 9772.
Please note you must be over 18 and be a member of WSPA in order to collect.

If you need a place to put pennies, how about giving a home to one of our cardboard collection boxes?
It‘s amazing how all those coppers can add up. In fact, last year alone, our supporters collected an incredible £10,000 in small change!
Call us on 0800 316 9772 to receive a cardboard home collection box.
